I invite you to join me to heal and claim your spirituality through sacred conversation.
In a time set aside from other activities, I will accompany you as you consider belief, doubt, practice, and the spiritual life. I will encourage your relationship with your Deepest, Wisest Self by means of listening, silence, inquiry, prayer, and other practices.
If you already know that you’d like to discuss the possibilities of our working together, please click the link below and we’ll have a free assessment of what might be stirring within you and what kind of work might be best for you.
What can you expect?
My work accompanying you on your spiritual journey is to help you hear your own story. It engages Three-Fold Listening, in which all attend to what the other says, what is in our own hearts, and how we experience the Spirit of Love in and between us
My work is to help you enter into the silent spaces of your heart and find the wisdom waiting there.
We may engage many ways of being together: For example, silence, ritual, prayer, and meditation. The heart of our time together is your experience of your story, your journey before, during, and after our time together.
But before all of this before we get even close to entering into the deep relationship of sacred conversation and mentoring, I invite you into a free call with me. This call is a time for us to talk about your hopes, to ask and answer questions, and to spend a bit of time together. After that, we decide together what will come next.
I would be delighted to schedule a free half-hour call with you to discuss whether you think we might work together fruitfully. Please use my online scheduler to find a time that works for both of us, and we’ll begin!

Is this “spiritual direction?”
This kind of spiritual relationship is indeed most commonly called “spiritual direction,” but it is never I who “directs”. It is your spirit, your relationship with the Holy that does the “directing,” if there is any to be done. I am a guide, a companion, someone who has walked the roads of spirituality and practice for many years. While I can help you notice the movements of Spirit in your life, it is you who experience them. It is your work, and your relationship that are the focus of our time together.
As a priestess in the Stone Circle tradition, in my practice of Unitarian Universalist ministry, in my work for my Masters of Divinity, and while with the Sisters of St. Joseph, I have gathered nearly twenty years of work on spiritual mentoring, discernment, and pastoral care and counseling. Working one-on-one with spiritual seekers—of any religious affiliation or none—brings me deep joy.
Many blessings on your journey. I look forward to hearing from you.
What clients are saying…
Catharine helped me to uncover my own spiritual path, rather than spotlighting her own beliefs or methods. She has a gentle nature and a true curiosity that allows her to ask deep questions and then ‘hold the mirror’ for you as you answer them. There was no judgment or criticism, even when I disappeared for a while or moved very slowly or had a differing opinion. She has a high level of integrity that allows her to leave her ego behind while she explores the depths of the Mystery with you and the entire experience is laced with love and compassion and encouragement.” ~ Liliana Arrington, CMT, Virginia Beach, VA, USA ~
“I have had the privilege and pleasure of working with Catharine over the last few years on matters spanning spirit, specifically, and all aspects of managing a whole and healthy life. She is gifted and intuitive, compassionate, and insightful, offering both tactical and strategic help, tools, and occasionally advice. There are times when a guide’s main job is to stand beside you, and simply listen – Catharine does this with both empathy and non-judgment. She is able to raise flags gently and cut to the heart of the matter, then look with me at obstacles and next steps.
In addition to helping guide with gentle hands, and cultivate a gentle way of being in my life, Catharine brings a VAST knowledge of various traditions, which is helpful and inspiring.
If you have the opportunity to work with Catharine as a guide and partner, walk that path without hesitation.” ~ Tracy Hayes, Redwood City, CA USA ~
